The Georgian bulldog mascot met Butler’s bulldog mascot

The most famous bulldog in Indianapolis these days is Butler Blue IV, a mascot at Butler University.

But don’t tell Georgia fans who adore their bulldog mascot Uga X, also known as Que.

Que is the newest star in a line of English bulldogs, owned by the Seiler family from Savannah, Georgia, who have served as Georgia’s living and breathing athletic symbol since 1956. In her role since 2015, Que regularly runs matches at Sanford Stadium in Athens . The stadium, of course, has a Ug tradition behind the hedges that line the course: Georgia bury its deceased dog mascots in the marble arches of Sanford.

Butler also has a tradition of worshiping his bulldogs – we visited Blue IV in 2020 when he was training for his new concert, and it was quite a showcase – but it’s not clear if the canines resolved the issue of the most beloved bulldog when they met in Indianapolis.
