Six people were injured Friday night after a shooting in front of a concert hall in Eugene, Oregon. police said.
Eugene Police Department received reports of several shots around 9:30 pm on Friday night in front of WOW Hall, where rappers Lil Bean and Zay Bang performed.
Police do not yet know whether the shooting was accidental or targeted, Chief Chris Skinner told a news conference on Saturday.
Police are searching for the only suspect who was seen in the sweatshirt fleeing the shooting.
Skinner called the shooting “one of the most profiled shots we’ve had in Eugene” and called on witnesses to contact police and provide any information or footage they might have.
“We know we have witnesses,” he said. “We know we probably have visual and audio evidence. We just need people to feel good so they can present it.”
Several other law enforcement agencies responded to the shooting, including Eugene Springfield Fire, Skinner said.
All lessons at WOW Hall were canceled until further notice, the concert hall said in a statement on its website, adding that she believed all staff and volunteers were safe and responsible.
“This is unprecedented in the WOW lobby,” the statement said.
