Jed Hall Missing Update 2022 | ICIN

On January 22, 2018, a 16 years old boy named Jed Hall left his house early in the morning in a 2009 Nissan Versa; he took with him some camping equipment and left a note indicating that he might commit suicide.

He disappears and never returns home; the investigation continues without any outcomes.

Until May 1, 2022, the car in which Jed left home was found in the Snake river in Idaho Falls by an underwater sonar search. The search is carried on by a recovery dive team named ‘Adventures with purpose’ in cooperation with the Idaho Falls police department.

Inside the car, remains of a human body are found; later on, on May 4, they are identified as the remains of Jed Hall.

What happened in 2018?

After the disappearance of Jed was confirmed, the police started searching for his cell phone on the morning of January 22, 2018. His phone appeared to have died or turned off at 6.48 am. The last location of his cell phone is identified as a section of Snake river and highway 20.

Investigators get the hint of Jed and his car entering the river, but after at least three sonar and underwater searches, no sign of Jed and his car is found.

How did we find the 2022 updates?

During the last week of April 2022, the team of Adventures with purpose reaches out to the Idaho Falls police department to conduct the search operation in Jed’s case.

Just during the beginning of the search, a car is discovered in the area with 8 feet of water, which is later identified as a Nissan Versa.

Later on, a statement is made from Bonneville County Sheriff’s office about regretting the failed previous searches; sheriff Sam Hulse appreciated the Adventures with purpose team for bringing closure to this case.
